Continental Clay Company is a custom manufacturer of structural and industrial brick using on site and local clay resources for completely natural fired products in red, buff and gray colors. The range of products include building brick with mat, vertical score and smooth finishes, radial chimney brick, acid-proof lining brick, heavy duty and thin pavers, as well as other specialty products.
In our over 100 year history we have amassed a huge arsenal of various die and reels that allow extrusion and cutting of numerous products that can satisfy an architects requirements, fill a specialty industrial application and many times meet a match requirement in size and shape of an existing brick for additions and repairs.

Chemical Resistant Brick – Chimney Liners

Backed by an outstanding record of service performance in severe flue gas environments, Continental Clay has earned a reputation as the leading source of chemical resistant brick for chimney liners. Continental's durable red shale and buff clay brick are specially formulated for density and strength to combat exposure to severe acid and thermal shock associated with flue gas environments. These brick meet or exceed ASTM C279 standards. Typical applications include independent brick liners, corbel liners, waste acid collection treatment pits and FGD scrubber modules. Chimney liners include power boiler stacks for electrical generation, power boiler/recovery boiler stacks for pulp and paper industry and coke battery stacks for steel industry. Also suitable for acid immersion applications such as sumps, pits and scrubber modules.

Chemical Resistant Brick – Vessel and Tank Linings

Studies have shown that no other system can provide the same level of corrosion protection for linings as chemical resistant brick and mortar with a membrane backing to form an impervious barrier. This system provides effective thermal, mechanical and chemical protection for tanks and vessels fabricated of steel or concrete. Typical applications include continuous strip and batch acid cleaning lines, vessel linings for chemical and pulp and paper industries, and waste acid collection sumps and pits. Also used in independent brick liners, corbel liners in power generation, pulp and paper and coke battery plants.

Continental's chemical resistant floor brick are extruded from the highest quality shale and buff clays that are specially formulated for strength and density to resist impact, abrasion, thermal shock and virtually any type of corrosive liquid. These precision brick are available in vertical fiber, smooth or abrasive surfaces for maximum slip resistance, attractive appearance and ease of maintenance.
